Collserola borders Barcelona and eight other municipalities and covers an area of over 10,000 hectares. It is a real green lung of the metropolitan area of Barcelona and is considered one of the largest urban parks in Europe. Since 2010 is a Natural Park recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya. His endless roads allow to discover many Masías (typical farmhouses), fountains, chapels, as well as an interesting and rich natural and cultural heritage.
The route passes through the most emblematic places of the Collserola mountain range, such as the Collserola Tower, designed by architect Norman Foster for the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, or the Tibidabo Amusement Park. In both places we will enjoy spectacular views of the city. When we get the Park, we are entering a fascinating trailrunning route through the mountain.
For those who prefer a quieter trailrunning tour, we recommend a route round to the famous Carretera de ls Aigües, a real balcony overlooking the city.
