El pasado domingo, 360runningBarcelona estuvo presente en la nueva edición de la Zurich Marató de Barcelona. Emocionante, como siempre, ya desde la salida! Con los nervios a flor de piel, sonó la bocina de la primera salida. Avanzamos unos metros. Preparados, cuenta atrás, listos, ya!

Los kilómetros pasaron uno tras otro. Poco a poco, como es propio de quien disputa la maratón con el objetivo de poder terminar en el mejor tiempo, dentro de sus posibilidades. El barrio de Sants es sólo el principio. El Camp Nou, la Diagonal y la Gran Via nos acercan hacia la Barcelona más monumental: Passeig de Gràcia, La Pedrera, y la Sagrada Familia.

La Meridiana, lugar que presuponíamos inhóspito, se convierte en un punto de animación excepcional. La gente se ha volcado a la calle. Sí, la encontramos por todo el recorrido (gracias público!), pero al girar a la izquierda desde la Avenida Meridiana hacia la calle de Valencia la sensación que nos invade es la de estar subiendo los últimos metros del Tourmalet durante el Tour de Francia: casi toda la calle ha sido invadida por el público y los corredores sólo tenemos un estrecho pasillo por donde seguir avanzando.

La zona del Fórum y la parte baja de la Diagonal se hacen muy largos, y la zona del frente marítimo, infinita! Cabe decir que el público que se acumula en los alrededores de la zona de Diagonal donde damos la vuelta hacia abajo nos da alas para encarar este tramo tan duro!

Y el Arc de Triomf, tanto majestuoso siempre, ahora parece que se nos trague! Las fuerzas van tan justas que casi no podemos levantar ni la cabeza para poder disfrutar unos instantes. Pero queda poco. La bajada por el Portal de l’Àngel es sensacional! El público nos anima y las piernas parece que cojan empuje.

Colon ya nos ve llegar, pero avisa del peligro del Paral·lel. A estas alturas, sin embargo, ya somos invencibles: nada nos detendrá en nuestro camino hacia la meta! La fuente de la Plaza España, obra de Josep Maria Jujol, nos ve pasar con la cabeza bien alta, orgullosos de la hazaña de llegar a la línea de meta, un año más, con fuerzas todavía para mirar al cielo y dar las gracias , no sabemos exactamente a quien, por acompañarnos durante 3 horas y media!

Enhorabuena a todos aquellos que alguna vez han terminado una maratón.
